Design & Streetfood at FÆNGSLET
Come and experience unique handicrafts, delicacies, and good food at street level when FÆNGSLET opens its gates for their annual design market in the raw yet cozy surroundings.
The best of both worlds
FÆNGSLET and Habengut Marked invite you to a world of delight and sensory indulgence over three days during the summer period. Admission is free for all the fun, whether you're seeking an exciting meal in the prison yard for lunch or dinner, or a unique piece of utilitarian art from a local artisan. Here, you'll find something to suit every taste, both for the palate and home decor. Additionally, there will be activities for both children and adults over the three days – from games to concerts. So bring your family or friends for a cosy time in the prison.
Design market in the west hall
In collaboration with Habengut Marked, Vestsalen (the west hall) will be filled with around 70 stalls featuring design and art. You will encounter a wide array of temptations ranging from home decor, visual art, ceramics, jewelry, delicacies, and clothing from both local and national designers and artists. Some you might already know, others are up-and-coming names, and many of the stallholders create handmade unique products.
Street food festival in the prison yard
A number of skilled chefs from the Horsens area will serve up street food in the prison yard for both lunch and dinner. The festival will offer a good and varied selection of dishes from different parts of the world, where both young and old can find something to satisfy their taste buds. In classic street food style, you can each choose a different stall and enjoy your meals together.
Design & Streetfood in 2025
In 2025, Design & Streetfood will be held at FÆNGSLET from June 6-8. Admission to the event is free, but of course, you’ll need to flash your credit card if you want a solid smash burger or a ceramic mug. We promise the prices are fair.
