Café Heden
Note: The café at the medicinal herb garden on Endelave has new operators and will be renamed Café Heden in 2025. Additional information will be added as soon as possible.
Below is a short introduction from the new leaseholders
Café Heden is Endelave’s new eatery. We are located in peaceful surroundings by the island’s medicinal herb garden, just a short walk from the harbour.
Our names are Victor and Peter-Emil, and we are excited to cook for you. We are both trained chefs with more than 10 years of experience in kitchens ranging from Michelin-starred restaurants to canteens.
We take an unpretentious approach to cooking—what matters most to us is that our dishes are well-prepared and taste absolutely delicious. Everything we serve is, of course, made from scratch, and we have a deep appreciation for classic craftsmanship. We use the best ingredients we can source, preferably from local suppliers. Our inspiration comes from European country kitchens, but we also draw on experiences from our travels around the world.
Our daily lunch specials can be found on the chalkboard, and in the evening, we invite you to join our communal dinner in the garden at 7:00 PM. We’d also love to serve you a local beer or a glass of wine while you relax on a blanket in the garden and soak up the sun. Everyone is welcome, young and old, and we will have garden games and other activities available.
We previously worked together on Samsø, where we fell in love with the island lifestyle—both working and living in such a special place. We are really looking forward to creating a space where we can contribute to the community on Endelave.
