Each marina in the East Jutland Archipelago has its own mug with a unique design that captures the essence of its specific location. Here, you can read about what makes the eight different mugs special—and, of course, where you can buy them.

A mug in every harbour

Want to own your own collection of mugs from the East Jutland Archipelago? There’s only one way to go: collect each one as you visit the eight harbours in the archipelago. The marine-blue mugs are made of steel and enamel, so they’re built to last. The price per mug is 99.00 DKK.

Tunø - Øhavs-koppen

Tunø

Tunø was the location where Kystlandet launched its first treasure hunt, and the tour is just as popular today as it was back then. The route takes you all the way around the island with fun challenges and beautiful views along the way. This is why the treasure hunt is the motif on the Tunø mug.

Purchase the East Jutland Archipelago mug for Tunø at Tunø Købmandsgård or Mejeriet Tunø.

Hjarnø - Øhavs-koppen

Hjarnø

Of course, you'll find a Viking helmet on the Hjarnø mug, as the island is rich in relics and history from the Viking Age. Legend has it that King Hjarne and his crew are buried at Kalvestenene stone setting, killed in a duel for the throne—a story that is also said to have given the island its name.

The East Jutland Archipelago mug for Hjarnø can be yours at Det Grafiske Magasin or Hjarnø Camping.

Endelave - Øhavs-koppen

Endelave

Endelave is the island of wild rabbits, and the little furry creature has confidently taken its place on the Endelave mug. Many other animals and plants also inhabit Endelave and would have gladly posed, as the island is rich in both.

You can buy the East Jutland Archipelago mug for Endelave at Udsigten Endelave or Kroen Endelave.

Hou - Øhavs-koppen

Hou

In the cozy harbour town stands the cutest little lighthouse, with its fiery red colour making it hard to miss. Perhaps that’s exactly why this lighthouse has become one of the town’s landmarks—and the motif on the Hou mug.

Take the East Jutland Archipelago mug for Hou home from Hou Marina, KØST Deli & Gastropub, or Mosters Ishus.

Horsens - Øhavs-koppen

Horsens

In Horsens, where a vibrant cultural life meets the city’s industrial past, the iconic wheel from the Industrial Museum was the obvious choice for the Horsens mug. Positioned between the city’s buzz and the coastal waves, the red wheel beautifully encapsulates the city’s history.

Get the East Jutland Archipelago mug for Horsens at Horsens Marina or FÆNGSLET.

Snaptun - Øhavs-koppen

Snaptun

On the Snaptun mug, you’ll find a tower—not a lighthouse, but rather the charming lookout tower in Tønballe Forest. From here, you not only have a view of Snaptun’s beautiful coast but can see all the way to Hjarnøsund, Hjarnø, and Alrø.

Find the East Jutland Archipelago mug for Snaptun at the café at Snaptun Marina.

Juelsminde - Øhavskoppen

Juelsminde

The anchor on the Juelsminde mug is more than just a symbol of the town’s maritime history. For a time, the town was home to the legendary Danish frigate Jylland, which never kept its anchor. In fact, the ship lost two anchors during the harsh winter of 1922—one was never found, and the other stands in Juelsminde.

Buy the East Jutland Archipelago mug for Juelsminde at NIOR Bistro or Juelsminde Harbour and Marina.

Samsø - Øhavskoppen

Samsø

Nowhere is the potato more cherished—or tastier—than on Samsø, making it the perfect motif for the Samsø mug. However, the rich Samsø soil offers much more than this starchy delicacy, which is why the islanders call Samsø "Denmark's pantry."
