Brætspilscaféen

Whether you're into chess or Dungeons & Dragons, you're guaranteed a great time at the The Board Game Café. With a large and varied selection of games, snacks, food, and beverages, there's something for everyone. Let the games begin!

Gamer's paradise

At the Board Game Café, (in Danish: Brætspilscaféen), you'll find traditional coffee shop-cozyness and entertainment - in one.

On the cramped shelves, you'll be able to explore the 600+ game selection, with anything from the classic Trivial Pursuit to chess, card games, family-friendly board games, to the more complex, strategic - and time demanding - game universes, that derives from the tabletop role play games (RPG), which became popular in the 1980s with the iconic Dungeons and Dragons.

Here, everyone is welcome! Whether you're young or old, a beginner or a veteran, a couple, a group of friends, or a whole family - the only thing that matters, is that you're up to some fun. However, children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

The cozy café is neatly furnished with green-clothed game tables, soft lounge chairs, and group-tables - and its decor takes inspiration from games and movie franchises, as well as from the fantasy-universe in general.

The staff are passionate players themselves and are ready to guide all guests in terms of both game choice and rulebooks. If you just want to discuss your absolute favourite game in the world - they're up for that too!

Great selection of snacks and craft beer

At the Board Game Café, you'll find a large selection of snacks and small dishes, such as cheesy nachos, 'snackwich' and panini.

If you’re feeling thirsty, you can get hot drinks, cold refreshments, wine, cocktails, and draft beer.
Student discount: 25% discount on hot beverages on weekdays before 5 PM.

Also, try one of the fun and different craft beers from breweries, such as, Amager Bryghus, The White Hag or Mad Scientist - served in a conical flask.
The selection, which currently include over 150 variants, is often replaced with new brands, and in the café’s Bottle Shop in the cozy basement you can buy some of the beer to take home - often at a special price. See the full list of current beers in the Bottle Shop

All in all, the menu has something that'll suit all tastes!
